Christmas Green Beans


  • 500g  fresh green beans
  • ¼ cup diced red capsicum
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ⅓ cup chopped pecans
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. In a 12″ skillet, melt butter, honey, garlic, salt and pepper over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the pecans. Cook and stir for two minutes until pecans are golden brown. Remove the pecans and set them aside in a small bowl.
  3. In the same skillet, stir in the green beans. Cook, covered over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 6 minutes or until green beans are tender.
  4. Stir in the red capsicum and toasted pecans.
