Ingredients

  • 4 small round wholemeal or wholegrain rolls, cut in half
  • ½ small avocado, mashed
  • 4 beef, chicken or veggie burgers
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 – 8 thin slices red onion (optional)
  • 4 tbsp grated low or reduced-fat cheese (optional)
  • 4 small lettuce leaves

Directions

  • Spread mashed avocado over top and bottom halves of rolls.
  • Top bottom halves with burger, tomato, onion (if using), cheese (if using) and lettuce.
  • Add tops of rolls and secure with string or strip of grease proof paper.
