Australian Table Grapes are available from November to May.
Grapes are a fantastic go-anywhere snack as they are delicious, nutritious and a low GI alternative to sugar and fat-loaded options. They can also be added to a whole host of recipes, from delicious summer salads to fruit kebabs.
Go for firm, plump clusters that are securely attached for their stems and these should be green not brown. Table grapes develop natural sugars as they ripen on the vine, but they do not become any sweeter once picked, so always choose grapes that are ready to eat.
Grapes are an excellent source of vitamin C and dietary fibre, and contain some vitamin B6 and potassium.
