Australian Stonefruit is available from October to April.

Australian peaches, nectarines, plums and apricots are delicious eaten fresh on their own, or in a variety of recipes including salads, hot and cold desserts, cakes and baking, cocktails and meat dishes.

Selecting Tips

Peaches bruise easily so look for smooth, unblemished fruit and handle them with care. Yellow flesh nectarines are best eaten when they yield slightly to gentle palm pressure and can taste both sweet and tart. White flesh nectarines are sweet when they are still firm and crunchy.  Plums come in a wider range of shapes, sizes, skin colours and tastes, which vary from extremely sweet to quite tart.  Apricots may be completely yellow or orange in colour, sometimes with an attractive red blush.
